I keep coming back to this hotel because it's great! The staff even helped me print something on my first stay. It has everything I need - free Wi-Fi, a bar, a restaurant, and more. Perfect for my city trips.

our stay at this hotel was enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering great value for money. We particularly loved the access to the balcony from our room, where we could relax and take in the view of the town. The location was also a major plus, being just a few minutes' walk from everything the area has to offer. Additionally, the staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more pleasant.
There were a few drawbacks to our experience. we felt that the check-in process could have been smoother, as we were not provided with much information upon arrival and had to find the shared bathrooms ourselves.

Port Fairy had the best vibes ever. We partied at the Lighthouse Theatre in Warrnambool, which was only 28 km away. The shows were epic and the atmosphere was insane. We also hit up some local bars and had a blast dancing all night. This hotel was the perfect base for our wild weekend!
If there was one thing I could change, it would be having a dedicated party area in the hotel. We were a group of young party-goers and it would've been amazing to have a DJ or some sick tunes blasting at the hotel.

I stayed at The Star of the West for three nights on a midweek trip and it was the cheapest place I found. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of town, with everything within minutes' walk. The one-bedroom apartment was surprisingly spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable, with a recently renovated bathroom and kitchen. The shared balcony had great views of the town. The bed was really comfortable, and we even got to enjoy live music and a good dinner at the pub downstairs. Great value for the price!
100% Recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel was absolutely fantastic! It is right in the middle of the charming little town, with all the main sights within walking distance. The fact that it is housed in a historical building added a unique touch to our stay. The parking was convenient, with plenty of space by the roadside. The renovated apartment we stayed in was huge and offered great value for money. We loved having our own self-contained space, complete with a balcony overlooking the bustling Bank Street. The central location and hardworking bar staff made our evenings enjoyable. The female toilets were clean, which was a plus. our stay was comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The location of this hotel was excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The room I stayed in was large and recently renovated, giving it a clean and tidy feel. Despite a few minor inconveniences, such as the lack of essential items like tea and coffee, the overall experience was pleasant. The value for money at Star Of The West was incredible, with clean and reasonably modern rooms and a wide balcony to enjoy. The location was perfect, close to shops, cafes, and beaches, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was if there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
